Hi, I’m Naz, also known as The Momager Film Critic.
I’m a parent first, a film lover always, and someone who believes the stories we watch with our teens can teach us far more than we expect.
Here, you’ll find teen-aware film and TV reviews designed for parents, reflections on what stories reveal about growing up and identity, and insights into acting through the lens of cinema. I also share grounded, real-life guidance for parents raising creative, expressive teens who are drawn to storytelling and performance.
This work didn’t start as a project. It started at home.
Watching my child explore a love for acting, curiosity, imagination, and a fearless connection to story, made me realize how little space exists for parents to truly understand this world alongside their kids.
BazAct grew from that realization.
But BazAct was never just a name.
It was always a bridge.
Between heritage and ambition.
Between identity and expression.
Between how we were raised, and who our children are becoming.
This isn’t about chasing performance or perfection.
It’s about creating space for something deeper, where storytelling feels honest, where creativity is explored without pressure, and where identity is not something to hide, but something to bring into the work.
Because acting, at its core, isn’t about pretending.
It’s about truth.
BazAct is built on that belief.
Not just acting. Belonging.
This is a space for parents who want to watch, think, and talk about stories with their teens, without pressure, judgment, or noise.
